Tall tales

India Today - - SIMPLY KOLKATA -

A roadside bistro vibe and a high atrium giving it oodles of space are just a few things that sets this swank new café in Kolkata’s IT hub apart from others. The owner, Sudhir Ahuja of Bonie Foods, also runs a rock pub just upstairs that hosts live gigs from time to time. The management’s taste in music has rubbed off on this café too and the playlist is a lot more pleasing to the ears than the dance and techno beats that plays in most other cafés. A tastefully stacked bookshelf completes the feel.

CAFFEINE COUNTER Their thick- as- pulp shakes and soothing teas come in glasses that are so tall that they

might just need a ladder! Try the raw mango rock salt and green chilli smoothie on a humid Kolkata day or kasundi and strawberry smoothie for an unconventional taste.

MUNCH THIS The quickest bites here are their naazzas or naan pizzas — Naan breads topped chicken

tikka or keema do pyaza.

PEOPLE WATCH Popular with yuppies. Also a good place for a solo meal. Pick a book friend and cosy up with a tall latte.
