On Syed Amir Ali Avenue, this is the popular chain of cafes’ fourth venture into the city. Just opposite the Ice Skating Rink, Chai Break has taken up the spot where an old favourite Indus Valley used to be. The menu remains similar with typical café bites of pastas, pizzas and sandwiches. The décor is fuss- free and simplistic. White chairs upholstered with jewel- toned velvet and matching tables give it a plain and straightforward look.
CAFFEINE COUNTER It has a good selection of hot and cold beverages with satisfyingly thick and creamy shakes. Oreo cold coffee and Kit- Kat shake are the popular picks. A huge selection of sheesha is also a draw.
MUNCH THIS The menu is vegetarian but falafel in pita bread and pizzas are tried and tested dishes.
PEOPLE WATCH Pocket friendly menu and flavoured sheesha can just mean one thing— a lot of teeny boppers.
INSIDER TIP If you are a sweeth tooth, you might want to stay away. It isn’t big on desserts and choices are limited.
