Selected fighters are pushed across the border into India. They undergo several months of specialise­d combat training.

TYPES OF TRAINING CAMPS

DAURA- E- SUFA A 21- day religious course is given to all LeT recruits at its headquarte­rs in Muridke near Lahore. DAURA- E- AAM Basic 21- day combat course where weapons training is given to all LeT recruits at camps in Muzaffarab­ad, PoK. DAURA- E- KHAS A specialise­d three- month training camp at Muzaffarab­ad where recruits are trained to dismantle and assemble assault rifles, use maps, compasses, GPS and guerrilla tactics. They are trained to raid, ambush, store weapons in the forest and extreme survival training like staying in the forest without food and water for 55 hours. BAITUL RIZWAN Specialise­d training where recruits are taught river- crossing and how to handle explosives. DAURA- E- RIBAT Training on ways to collect intelligen­ce, agent handling, sabotage, cultivatin­g agents in enemy countries, surveillan­ce, briefing and de- briefing agents, secret writing and use of wine, women and money to elicit informatio­n. FIDAYEEN TRAINING Only 1 person from a batch of around 200 opts to become a suicide attacker. The volunteer is given a number of courses to harden him mentally and physically. Fidayeen are hand- picked and put through a special religious indoctrina­tion course called sufa.
