Jayaprada is Poster Girl, Again

Jayaprada had organised posters of herself with Congress stalwarts ranging from Sonia Gandhi to Manmohan Singh at the Rampur rally venue, which Rahul Gandhi addressed on October 9. Her understanding was that talks to bring her into the party were serious, especially as she is the sitting MP and a popular one at that. But she hadn’t accounted for Congress leader Begum Noor Bano’s wrath. Noor lost to Jayaprada in 2009 when the latter contested on a Samajwadi Party ticket. Jayaprada is now an independent. The posters were ordered to be taken down but not before some alert photographers took pictures.
