The Gov­er­nor of Ker­ala, Nikhil Ku­mar, has de­cided to step down to con­test the Lok Sabha elec­tions from Au­rangabad in Bi­har, from where he had won in 2004. The 72-yearold will con­test on a Congress ticket, with sup­port from the JD(U), pos­si­bly be­cause of his brother-in-law N.K. Singh, JD(U) MPand close ad­viser to Bi­har Chief Min­is­ter Ni­tish Ku­mar.
