TOUCH ME OR NOT
“Touch my body”, sang Mariah Carey in her album
E=MC2. Now we have the Bollywood response: “Don’t touch my body,” an item number in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s upcoming Bullet
Raja. Carey called her lyrics, of a woman demanding inti-macy,“fun and cute and sexy and sweet.” Mahie Gill invokes all that as she prances around Saif Ali Khan in the Chambal ravines: An innocent girl may feel like a batasha (yes, that homespun candy) but must say ‘no’ lest a man thinks she’s morally lax. Are feminists listening?
