Two years ago, Zublee got a call from an autis­tic child’s mother in Guwahati. She said her child clapped and jumped in joy when­ever he saw Zublee on TV and that her pic­ture or song was enough to make him eat or go to sleep. A month later, Zublee turned up at their home, unan­nounced. Now Ab­hi­lash Borthakur, 10, does stage shows with her. And not just him, Zublee is also mon­i­tor­ing the mu­si­cal jour­neys of seven autis­tic chil­dren in As­sam. She also runs Zublee Foun­da­tion, the first NGO in North-east work­ing for or­gan do­na­tion. BREAK­THROUGH Shar­ing the stage with Zubeen Garg. She com­posed it in a toi­let at 3 in the morn­ing.
