Two years ago, Zublee got a call from an autistic child’s mother in Guwahati. She said her child clapped and jumped in joy whenever he saw Zublee on TV and that her picture or song was enough to make him eat or go to sleep. A month later, Zublee turned up at their home, unannounced. Now Abhilash Borthakur, 10, does stage shows with her. And not just him, Zublee is also monitoring the musical journeys of seven autistic children in Assam. She also runs Zublee Foundation, the first NGO in North-east working for organ donation. ON A HIGH In her latest album Maati, there is a song about trance induced by bhang. She composed it in a toilet at 3 in the morning.
