TWEETING CONTROL

India Today - - BATTLE FOR 2014 -

Desperate to regain a foothold in Tamil Nadu, where the ruling AIADMK is expected to win most of the 39 Lok Sabha seats, DMK patriarch M. Karunanidhi and heir apparent M.K. Stalin have joined Twitter and Facebook. They are encouraging party cadres to follow suit. In fact, Stalin began by tweeting advice to them: “Don’t indulge in personal attacks against anyone. Don’t wash your dirty linen in public against our own party cadres. Your postings should strengthen DMK and its leader.” It, however, seems rather difficult that the call for restraint will work in Tamil Nadu’s supercharged political climes.
