KALYAN SINGH’S GIFT OF POWER
At 55, Rajveer Singh finally got the gift he had been waiting for. On March 15, BJP vice-president Kalyan Singh’s son was celebrating his birthday in his Marris Road home in Aligarh when he saw the news at 11.30 p.m. His father, 82, had been in Delhi finalising the list of candidates from Uttar Pradesh. Breaking news said that Rajveer would be contesting from Etah. Kalyan Singh confirmed this to him two hours later. Rajveer has been campaigning for his father, and also preparing for the next Assembly election in 2017 from Debai constituency in Bulandshahr from where he lost the election in 2012. He can’t believe his luck.
