Somany Ceramics' French Collection will change the way you view the bathroom
After breaking the mould, quite literally, in the tile segment, Somany Ceramics entered the sanitary ware division a little over three-in-ahalf years ago, with a collection titled Somany. With time, they added Somany Signature, a more premium category. Last month they launched the French Collection. “The range is manufactured in Europe,” says Abhishek Somany, MD, Somany Ceramics.
SPOILT FOR CHOICE
The new collection has over 28 products, ranging from water closets, urinals to wash basins, which fall under 11 different series. The star of the collection is the Ace series, the first high IQ toilet by Somany Ceramics, designed to ensure there are minimum pressure points.
LOO AND BEHOLD
“We are currently manufacturing sanitary ware, in various sizes and shapes. If something comes up as an extension, it would be in the fittings division. This is currently only in the Somany and Signature range, French Collection will soon also have this extension,” adds Somany. In fact, the reason why he manufactured all these products in Europe is because Indian clay has limitations, for instance, if your want a rimless WC, it cannot be manufactured in certain shapes and sizes.
WHAT MAKES THE BRAND STAND OUT
"My products are definitely the whitest (in colour) in the segment," says Somany adding, "We also have fantastic flushing systems and long lasting, detachable seat covers." Further, for the price they offer, the brand has higher specifications than others in the category. At present they are working on a few designer ranges.
