Con­cep­tu­alised and pro­duced by SE­HER and pre­sented by Hin­dus­tan Zinc in as­so­ci­a­tion with Won­der Ce­ment and sup­ported by Ra­jasthan Tourism, The Udaipur World Mu­sic Fes­ti­val will have 150 artists from over 16 coun­tries par­tic­i­pat­ing in it. The line-up is an in­ter­est­ing mix of cel­e­brated and rare artists—some per­form­ing in In­dia for the first time like Lon­don Com­mu­nity Gospel Choir, Niyaz fea­tur­ing Nizam Ali, and more. The UWMF 2017 will have its grand open­ing at the Gandhi Ground on Fe­bru­ary 10. The first day will show­case Ko­cani Orkestar, a Balkanic gypsy band from Mace­do­nia, elec­tro sufi mu­sic by Niyaz fea­tur­ing Nizam Ali, African songs by Monoswezi and sufi qawwali by Nooran Sis­ter­sJy­oti Nooran and Sul­tana Nooran. On the sec­ond day of the fest, Fateh Sa­gar Pal (lake) of Udaipur will echo with the mag­i­cal po­etic ren­di­tions of Ablaye Cis­soko from Sene­gal, who will col­lab­o­rate with the Con­stantino­ple En­sem­ble from Canada, per­form­ing for the first time in In­dia. The fes­ti­val will close at Gandhi Ground with three for­mi­da­ble per­for­mances—Ital­ian band Of­fic­ina Zoe will take us to the world of trance with the Trance Ther­apy Mu­sic of Taranta; En­try Open to pub­lic De­tails se­her.in Tel 41688811
