SBI Youth For In­dia Fel­low­ship State Bank of In­dia’s fel­low­ship is a thir­teen­month-long pro­gramme that en­ables young stu­dents and pro­fes­sion­als aged 21-32 to work on rural devel­op­ment projects with ex­pe­ri­enced NGOs such Bare­foot Col­lege, Seva Mandir, Chi­rag and Gram Vikas. It re­quires se­lected ap­pli­cants to stay in rural ar­eas near the pro­ject site. The ap­pli­cants are re­quired to clear an in­ter­view round be­fore be­ing se­lected. James Dyson Award 2017 The James Dyson Award is an an­nual de­sign award run in 23 coun­tries and has come to In­dia for the first time this year. The con­test is open to univer­sity level stu­dents and re­cent grad­u­ates study­ing prod­uct de­sign, in­dus­trial de­sign and en­gi­neer­ing. A na­tional win­ner is se­lected for ev­ery coun­try be­fore the fi­nal phase where the in­ter­na­tional win­ner is cho­sen. The win­ner is awarded £30,000 to­wards the fu­ture devel­op­ment of his pro­ject. Dead­line for ap­pli­ca­tion is July 20. De­tails on james­dyson­award.org. Ro­tary Peace Fel­low­ship Each year, hu­man­i­tar­ian or­gan­i­sa­tion, Ro­tary In­ter­na­tional picks 100 young pro­fes­sion­als that have demon­strated ex­cel­lent lead­er­ship qual­i­ties and com­mit­ment to in­ter­na­tional peace build­ing and of­fers them fel­low­ships to study at the Ro­tary Peace Cen­ters across the globe. The fel­low­ship cover tuition fees, travel and board­ing costs. The dead­line for ap­pli­ca­tion is May 31.
