A checklist of the coolest new salons, cafes and events to look forward to
Even as salons around town offer a host of polishes and scrubs for brides, the newly opened The Wedding Clinic promises to soon top the skincare regime for brides and grooms-to-be. Led by Mumbai-based dermatologist Sonia Teckchandani’s Tender Skin International, this blue-and-white skincare studio offers medical procedures and pampering massages and facials. “Skincare is as important as booking the venue; you need to start months in advance to get the best results because the rejuvenation should be holistic,” says Payal Sheth, who launched this clinic with her husband Kalp Sheth and dermatologist Shaili Sanghvi, in March this year. Designed with handpicked artifacts and smart use of space, it houses two therapy rooms, a nail bar, a grand make-up corner and a tiny outdoor café for prewedding bonding sessions with girlfriends. The first visit here starts with a skin analysis and consultation with Sanghvi who recommends specific therapies to suit the skin. With a doctor on board, they offer procedures like botox, fine lines erasing and laser but if you’re looking for just pampering, then go for the body massages, pedicures and relaxing medi facials. A highly popular treatment is the Hydra Facial, especially suited for the dry summer heat.
TREATMENTS start at Rs 5000 AT Bel Air, Lane 6, Koregaon Park. theweddingclinic.com
