Andhra Pradesh didn’t lose just territory to Telangana in 2014, it lost its sporting superstars too. Badminton stars P.V. Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth both live and train in Telangana capital Hyderabad. To make amends, Andhra chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is trying to rope in top athletes from the Indian Railways and India Post. They are being offered postings in Andhra should they agree to sport the state’s colours and represent it in competitions.
