For decades, In­dian work­ers were at the heart of the Gulf ’s oil-driven eco­nomic mir­a­cle. But new min­istry of ex­ter­nal af­fairs fig­ures show a sharp drop in the num­bers—over 250,000 since 2014—em­i­grat­ing to the Gulf. The MEA at­tributes the drop to slow­ing Gulf economies.
