Top three initiatives planned for 2014 are: a. IT-enabled business transformation: We will be focusing on the business projects that have a large value potential for business in terms of process optimization, cost reduction, product differentiation, etc., and ensure that they are enabled by IT. Our target will be the section, which is considered the last mile between the enterprise wide ERPs to the end users and is generally the gap where there are a lot of manual processes, which adds to the latency of the business processes. b. Enterprise infrastructure assets optimization: We will also be focusing on the aspect of “sweating of assets” that has been invested in by the organization and thereby try to enhance the ROI of the investments made. Reach and range is a parameter that will be considered as a success factor when we look at the implementation of infrastructure assets (hardware and software) in the enterprise. c. Information and data security: With the irrefutable trends thrown towards IT by business in the form of BYOD, application mobility, social media, cloud, Big Data, etc., IT will have to focus on the information and data security to ensure that the confidentiality of the corporate data is protected. There is a need to look at security from a completely different viewpoint, with more focus on predictable analytics.
