Tougher laws needed to protect wild animals

Mail Today - - INTERACTIVE -

THE killing of tigress Avni, under orders from the state forest department, has not only drawn a widespread outrage across the country but also compelled the people on the road to protest and to raise their voices against this brutal killing.

Union minister of women and child development Maneka Gandhi said on Twitter that “I am deeply saddened by the way tigress Avni, has been brutally murdered and it is nothing but a straight case of crime.” Like wise, hundreds of citizens came out to march in protest against Avni’s killing.

As a society we should speak out against the killing of ani- mals and punish those who hunt them. The protest is a glad sense of the kindness and love for the animals and living creations. This kindness should be born in our mind and must remain forever for every living creations.
