Mandate - - Editor’s Note -

I stood dumbfounded on the stage at a glimpse of 40k arms up in the air, unified by the music. To my left was the man behind the show, grinning from ear to ear, watching me absorb the energy, and on my right, were Dutch electronic dance music duo from Breda, W&W, who were completely in their element. While their fingers controlled the horde, their head banging further instigated them. If being at Sunburn was an experience, standing at the womb of the event, I had the time of my life.

Besides the several memories of the night, the countless ‘Say no to drugs’ placards stood out the most. But the next day wasn’t so impressive, for we stumbled upon a shocking story revealing Denzel Washington’s dark side — a world filled with parties, drugs and women. Sad, but it makes for a vivid cover.

But don’t judge us by the cover. A bright sunny article lies inside featuring Shillong, India’s beautiful secret. Then for people waiting for their dose of art, Richa Chadda, Kalki Koechlin, Purab Kohli and Cyrus Sahukar’s theatre expedition is riveting. And for murder mystery junkies, we present the real life, real time story of the Dewanis, which involves, murder, sex and a hell of a lot of money. Plus, if automobile is your calling, then drool over Vardenchi bikes.

I trust the rest of the magazine will keep you transfixed.

Till then…
