I thoroughly enjoyed The Cost of Special Effects. I see a parallel with what is going on with Bollywood. The mainstream blockbusters just seem to be getting bigger, louder and present on every possible forum. The films seem to be about how many star-filled moments can be crammed in. It’s just about going big! At this point story or characters don’t even seem relevant. Of course, there are many good films being made as well, but I don’t understand why filmmakers with big budgets have an allergy to engaging narratives.
