Magna House, Mumbai, was abuzz as the dashing Randeep Hooda arrived one fine evening to unveil Mandate’s March 2015 cover, amidst a flurry of journalists. Randeep, in what is perceived as one of his boldest photo- shoots till date, seemed quite at ease posing with a female model on the cover that read: A Razor Sharp Focus on Stardom. He, along with Mandate, in this special celebratory issue, applauds being a man, in every sense of the term.
The event was kick- started by Rupali Suri, the host of the evening, with a brief introduction of Mr Nari Hira, Chairman of Magna Publishing Group and Yuvraj Juneja, Editor, Mandate, who flanked the man of the moment, Randeep Hooda, as they took the centre stage. Amidst thundering applause, the cover was finally unveiled to the media, which instantly opened up a conversation about how difficult or easy it was to shoot for such a feature. On being asked by Rupali what he said to make the model feel comfortable, Randeep, in his characteristic tongue-and- cheek humour, responded, “Well, I don’t think any woman feels uncomfortable next to me. I even made Sunny Leone feel comfortable!” Randeep soon revealed that this was his second time on Mandate cover, though he admitted that this was more cutting edge than the previous one. “However, I want to know, is it just me or does Mandate throw everyone in a mix of hot women to test their patience,” Randeep asked the editor jokingly.
