Essar Ports unveils major investment plans
Essar Ports is planning to invest `3,200 crore to expand its terminals in Salaya and Hazira in Gujarat and set up a new coal terminal in Mozambique in the next 30 months. The company is about to complete `2,800 crore expansion of Salaya and Vizag terminals started six years back. “The existing capacity of our terminals at Salaya and Hazira will be augmented. We have signed a memorandum of understanding for a new terminal at Salaya in Gujarat,” Rajiv Agarwal, chief executive officer, Essar Ports, said. It plans to have a mix of dry bulk, LNG and liquid cargo terminal at Salaya.
