Es­sar Ports un­veils ma­jor in­vest­ment plans

Es­sar Ports is plan­ning to in­vest `3,200 crore to ex­pand its ter­mi­nals in Salaya and Hazira in Gu­jarat and set up a new coal ter­minal in Mozam­bique in the next 30 months. The com­pany is about to com­plete `2,800 crore ex­pan­sion of Salaya and Vizag ter­mi­nals started six years back. “The ex­ist­ing ca­pac­ity of our ter­mi­nals at Salaya and Hazira will be aug­mented. We have signed a mem­o­ran­dum of un­der­stand­ing for a new ter­minal at Salaya in Gu­jarat,” Ra­jiv Agar­wal, chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer, Es­sar Ports, said. It plans to have a mix of dry bulk, LNG and liq­uid cargo ter­minal at Salaya.
