First con­tainer train link­ing Rus­sia and Viet­nam

Pak­istan Rail­ways has added 118 lo­co­mo­tives in its cur­rent fleet to re­place old and ob­so­lete en­gines, aimed at en­hanc­ing cargo rev­enues. Around 1,405 mod­ern wag­ons for coal load­ing and un­load­ing (hop­per wag­ons) have been pro­cured for Qadirabad The train car­ry­ing cos­metic prod­ucts de­parted from Vos­rino sta­tion on the out­skirts of Moscow, pass­ing through Zabail­ka­lsk-manzhouli bor­der gate of the Rus­sia-china bor­der and Piangx­i­ang-dong Dang bor­der gate of the China-viet­nam bor­der. Vi­ach­eslav Khari­nov, Chief Rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the Rus­sian Trade Of­fice in Viet­nam, termed this an im­por­tant mile­stone in the two coun­tries’ trad­ing as con­tainer trans­porta­tion ser­vices by train will help fa­cil­i­tate the travel of goods, thus con­tribut­ing to in­creas­ing im­port-ex­port turnover.
