US emerges In­dia’s top ex­port des­ti­na­tion

With $47.9 bil­lion worth of ship­ments last fis­cal, the US has emerged as the top ex­port des­ti­na­tion for In­dian goods, fol­lowed by the UAE and Hong Kong. "USA was In­dia’s top ex­port mar­ket dur­ing April-march 2018 with ex­ports reach­ing $47.9 bil­lion, fol­lowed by the UAE ($28.1 bil­lion) and Hong Kong ($14.7 bil­lion)," the Depart­ment of Com­merce said. In 2016-17, the coun­try’s ship­ments to the US stood at $42.2 bil­lion. The other key ex­port des­ti­na­tions in­clude China, Sin­ga­pore, the UK, Ger­many, Bangladesh, Viet­nam and Nepal.
