A tar­get of $2 bil­lion trade with In­dia by 2020

“The level of trade be­tween In­dia and Afghanistan has in­creased over $900 mil­lion and the goal is to im­prove it fur­ther. Our tar­get to­wards trade with In­dia is $2 bil­lion by 2020 and we are head­ing to­wards that. This will be through the air cor­ri­dor, road and other ini­tia­tives in­clud­ing Chaba­har Port. We are look­ing for full op­er­a­tional­iza­tion of the four phases of the Chaba­har

Port by 2020-22,” says Shaida Ab­dali, Afghanistan’s Am­bas­sador to In­dia. The air freight ini­tia­tive be­tween In­dia and Afghanistan has given very pos­i­tive re­sults and so the ser­vice has been ex­tended to touch Saudi Ara­bia, Turkey, Kaza­khstan and Dubai.
