SVP GROUP IN­VESTS IN RA­JASTHAN, EX­PECTED TO CRE­ATE 2,000 JOBS

The Ra­jasthan gov­ern­ment has en­tered into an agree­ment with ShriVal­labh Pit­tie Group (SVP Group) to set up an air­craft main­te­nance, re­pair­ing and over­haul (MRO) fa­cil­ity in Jha­lawar. The in­vest­ment will be of `2,000 crore and is ex­pected to cre­ate about 2,000 new job op­por­tu­ni­ties. There are al­ready two MRO fa­cil­i­ties in the coun­try (in Hy­der­abad and Ben­galuru), but this pro­posed fa­cil­ity is ex­pected to han­dle high-end op­er­a­tions. This is not SVP’s first in­vest­ment in the state. The group has al­ready in­vested `445 crore in a yarn man­u­fac­tur­ing unit in Jha­lawar. The Ra­jasthan gov­ern­ment has also signed a re­vised MoU with HPCL for a crude oil re­fin­ery at Barmer.
