Male leopards are usually 50 per cent larger than female leopards.

Leopards can climb trees easily and that too with heavy prey such as deer. This is to ensure that other predators such as tigers are unable to snatch their prey and also to stock food for later use.

Black panthers are in reality melanistic leopards.

Leopards communicate through distinctive calls.

They are mostly active at night and love to spend the day hidden on treetops.
