Marwar - - ALL THINGS [ Great and Small ] -

The Dalmia Bharat Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the tourism ministry to maintain the iconic Red Fort in Delhi. This would involve facilitating access, building basic infrastructure around the monument and providing and developing tourist amenities to promote sustainable tourism at the Red Fort for the next five years. The agreement follows the launch of the ‘Adopt a Heritage’ scheme last year, under which private and public sector companies and corporate individuals were invited to ‘adopt’ heritage sites and maintain them as part of their corporate social responsibility. The Red Fort was built by Emperor Shah Jehan and is a UNESCO world heritage site.
