Making a comeback into the interior design space, wood floors have once again become the go-to option. A quality wood floor combines two of the most sought after qualities: simplicity and elegance. Wood floors can be found in typically three profiles, dark, grey, and blonde. In the age of minimalism, the lighter species of wood like Ash, Red Oak, White Oak, Bamboo, Birch and Maple give a better canvas for creativity. They make room look larger and brighter and are easier to maintain as they also hide scratches and scars better. Lighter woods can be used in flooring to contrast dark walls and furniture. In the kitchen, they complement other elements; using a similar stain of wood for the countertops and the furniture helps create a uniform theme.
