In­dian buy­ers at IT&CM China share their ex­pe­ri­ence about the event and their views on the global MICE maket

China is a very strong econ­omy and a grow­ing out­bound mar­ket. We are glob­ally con­nected so we see op­por­tu­ni­ties from China into other mar­kets. It's been a very good ex­pe­ri­ence for us and the ob­jec­tive of at­tend­ing this show is to con­nect with ex­ist­ing and new part­ners and find op­por­tu­ni­ties across the globe. The show was very good and gives a lot of ex­pla­na­tion about Asian prod­ucts, hote­liers, new ho­tels and re­sorts which have come up. We're mak­ing a lot of in­ter­ac­tions and busi­ness ac­tiv­i­ties with them. Dur­ing these two days we met new ex­hibitors and have con­tacted them for their new prod­ucts and ex­plore them in the In­dian mar­ket. Now there are a lot of MICE ex­hibitors from China, Thai­land, Sin­ga­pore, Hong Kong, which are of­fer­ing new places that are good for con­duct­ing MICE events.” P.P. It was a good show with prime fo­cus on China. It show­cased var­i­ous un­ex­plored re­gions of China. The show had a good pres­ence of var­i­ous South East Asian coun­tries like the Phillip­ines, Sin­ga­pore, Malaysian and Thai­land. It was heart­en­ing to see the pres­ence of Euro­pean des­ti­na­tions like Scot­land and Monaco mak­ing their pres­ence for the first time. I came to the first edi­tion of the show when they started 11 years ago and this is my 3rd time at IT&CM China. The show was good. There are 80 per cent of Chi­nese sup­pli­ers are here and I found some few good prod­ucts here. I was plan­ning to do an event for one of the ma­jor au­to­mo­bile com­pa­nies. We have al­ready found the right part­ner here and we're soon go­ing to fi­nalise a deal with them. IT&CM needs to have more va­ri­ety. I found less of team-build­ing at­trac­tions, event plan­ners, other MICE re­lated ser­vices like AV sup­pli­ers, etc. such play­ers are miss­ing this time.” Amaresh Ti­wari Hony. The event was well or­gan­ised and there were good num­ber of sell­ers. The dis­cus­sion and ple­nary ses­sions were very good. A lot of knowl­edge shar­ing hap­pened and it brought us closer to what is hap­pen­ing in the in­dus­try. Over­all, it has been a fan­tas­tic jour­ney.
