From the start of your event, you will find a skilled team of ded­i­cated Ritz-Carl­ton ladies and gen­tle­men who en­sure flaw­less ex­e­cu­tion to the highly-per­son­alised events we host. In a new pro­gramme launched in 2016, ‘A Meet­ing of the Senses', the re­laxed and re­fined en­vi­ron­ments of par­tic­i­pat­ing Ritz-Carl­ton ho­tels and re­sorts around the globe set the scene to cre­ate in­no­va­tive meet­ings that awaken the mind, stir cre­ativ­ity, and in­ten­sify fo­cus.

What have been your oc­cu­pan­cies/ARRs and REVPAR for 2018? What are your tar­gets for the rest of the year?

The ho­tel has seen a steady growth in oc­cu­pancy and rates in 2018, lead­ing to an over­all in­cre­men­tal RevPAR of 8.8 per cent YOY. The trend looks healthy for the rest of the year too.

How is Bengaluru de­vel­op­ing as a city for hos­pi­tal­ity? Bengaluru is a favoured des­ti­na­tions for wed­dings, con­fer­ences, ban­quets and event ex­hi­bi­tions and apart from the few con­ven­tion/ ex­hi­bi­tion cen­ters avail­able, or­gan­is­ers to­day have a pref­er­ence for ho­tels in the city, as ev­ery­thing is stream­lined and or­gan­ised along with the avail­abil­ity of state-of-the-art fa­cil­i­ties and per­son­alised ser­vices, un­der one roof. By the end of 2018, Bengaluru will be at par with Mum­bai in terms of ho­tel in­ven­tory and that is re­ally a very pos­i­tive sign of de­vel­op­ment for the ho­tel in­dus­try here as a whole.

The city's econ­omy is a ser­vice-led econ­omy, the IT Sec­tor has been a ma­jor source of busi­ness for the ho­tel in­dus­try.

What green ini­tia­tives have been taken by your ho­tel?

We have had our in-house kitchen gar­den since 2013. It was in­tro­duced to source or­ganic food and to com­bine fresh in­gre­di­ents with culi­nary ex­cel­lence. The ad­van­tage of grow­ing our own pro­duce is that we will al­ways have a fresh and steady batch.
