Picture perfect

With an ultra wide colour gamut, the C2 LED television provides a great viewing experience

Mid Day - - TECH -

Well, this was unexpected.

Sure was but TCL has finally launched some of their range in the country. They were first showcased at CES 2017 back in January.

Doesn’t look as bezel-less as I would have liked.

You’re just too spoiled now! Other than the bottom, the C2 is surrounded by thin bezels. The sleekness has been imparted by CNC 1mm diamond cutting technology and wire drawing design. It may not be the thinnest kid on the block but still does a decent job at this price point.

Is the placement of the speakers justified?

The 4 channel setup consists of two bass and two treble speakers. Further, DTS decoding enables lossless audio decoding to replicate authentic playback while Dolby decoder can generate 5.1 surround sound. As they are front firing, sound will directly travel to viewers.

Does the picture quality match up?

The 4K LED panel supports HDR Pro producing accurate light and dark shades. Even better is micro dimming which can achieve perfect contrast by analysing the content in various zones and adjusting it separately in each.

For the lazy peeps like me, is voice control supported?

Of course and the C2 comes with not one but two remotes! The first is the run-of-the-mill IR button remote requiring you to press them to access different functions. The second and smaller one is what should make you happy with Bluetooth connectivity and voice controls powered by Google. Now search for new content in multiple languages!
