First-of-its-kind wa­ter ATM thrown open in Delhi

NEW DELHI: Is­raeli Am­bas­sador to In­dia Daniel Car­mon on Thurs­day in­au­gu­rated a first-of-its-kind 'Air to Wa­ter ATM' at Charkha Park, op­po­site Re­gal Build­ing at Con­naught Place, in the pres­ence of of­fi­cials of the New Delhi Mu­nic­i­pal Coun­cil (NDMC).

"I must thank NDMC for pro­vid­ing an op­por­tu­nity to Wa­ter-gen one of the most in­no­va­tive com­pa­nies of Is­rael for ex­tend­ing Wa­ter In­fra­struc­ture Sys­tem as an al­ter­na­tive so­lu­tion for clean and safe drink­ing wa­ter from Air to Wa­ter ATM in New Delhi area.

"I hope that this al­ter­na­tive so­lu­tion of drink­ing wa­ter will made avail­able 500 lt. per day potable wa­ter from the at­mo­spheric air, said Car­mon.

On the oc­ca­sion, New Delhi MP Meenakshi Lekhi ap­pre­ci­ated the jointly ef­forts of two friendly na­tions to pro­vide the ba­sic ameni­ties like drink­ing wa­ter to the cit­i­zens by the in­no­va­tive tech­nol­ogy.

The Chair­man, NDMC Naresh Ku­mar in­formed that an MOU has been signed be­tween an Is­rael com­pany M/s Wa­ter Gen. for pro­vide the In­no­va­tive Wa­ter In­fra­struc­ture with an al­ter­na­tive so­lu­tion to pro­vide the clean and pure drink­ing wa­ter in New Delhi area.

He added that the project will im­prove the quan­tity and qual­ity of ac­ces­si­ble clean wa­ter in the area.
