4 members of Bawaria gang arrested in Ggn
GURUGRAM: In a major achievement for Gurugram police, its team arrested four members of Bawaria gang that were involved in the horrific incident of committing a dacoity and then raping two female employees in Pataudi.
The four people who have been held have been identified as Hemant, Lucky, Lambu and Rajveer.
The incident that occurred in the village Mandpura of the region on January 30 this year had resulted in many people questioning the law and order situation in the city.
It is alleged that one of women rape survivor was also five-month pregnant.
In order to catch the culprits, the district police had tied up with the Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan Police.
Besides this incident, the four have also admitted their involvement in committing burglary at a commercial unit in Manesar and shooting dead its owner in October 2016.
They had also confessed to their crimes committed in Rewari and states of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
“It was a huge challenge for our team to catch hold of these criminals, especially after the horrific incident at Mandpura in Pataudi. We are sure that after this arrest, the criminal activities of Bawaria gang will subside,” said Sumit Kuhar DCP (crime).
