IS­RAELI AM­BAS­SADOR CALLS ON NI­TISH, DIS­CUSSES RE­SEARCH CEN­TRES

PATNA: Is­rael’s Am­bas­sador to In­dia Daniel Car­mon on Thurs­day met Bi­har Chief Min­is­ter Ni­tish Ku­mar and dis­cussed two agri­cul­tural re­search cen­tres be­ing built by the Jwish na­tion in the state. The Is­raeli Am­bas­sador met Ku­mar at his 1, Anne Marg res­i­dence here, an of­fi­cial state­ment said. Car­mon told Ku­mar about his coun­try ex­tend­ing help to In­dia in build­ing agri­cul­tural re­search cen­tres. Two such “cen­tre of ex­cel­lence” are com­ing up in Bi­har. While one would come up at Na­landa on re­search in veg­eta­bles the sec­ond such cen­tre would be in Vaishali re­lated to re­search in the field of mango and litchis. The farm­ers would be trained in the newer tech­nol­ogy in the farm sec­tor at these cen­tres. The Is­raeli Am­bass­dor evinced in­ter­est in ex­tend­ing as­sis­tance to Bi­har in the field of new tech­nol­ogy, the state­ment said. Prin­ci­pal Sec­re­tary Chan­chal Ku­mar and Sec­re­tary in the CMO Atish Chan­dra were present on the oc­ca­sion.
