TOURIST BUS TURNS TURTLE IN ALIPUR AREA, SIX INJURED

NEW DELHI: Six persons escaped with minor injuries after a tourist bus overturned in outer Delhi’s Alipur area on Wednesday morning, the police said. The driver fled from the spot abandoning the bus and police are on the lookout for him, they added. The incident was reported around 6 am. According to police when the bus reached Bakhtawarpur area in Alipur, it overturned, apparently due to an internal malfunction. The bus was carrying 50 persons and water motors were kept on the roof of the bus. It is suspected that the bus was overloaded, he said. One of the persons, on the bus, Satnaam Singh (56) sustained injuries that were serious in nature but he is out of danger.
