Dr Jagriti Luthra Prasanna is the lat­est sig­na­ture in the realm of su­fiyana singing. She is Young in age but im­bued with highly ma­tured mu­si­cal sen­si­bil­i­ties. De­spite of com­ing from a non-mu­si­cal Pun­jabi fam­ily, Jagriti has achieved mile­stones in mu­sic. She won first prize as a best clas­si­cal singer for a Clas­si­cal per­for­mance at Navodit Kalakar Samiti, New Delhi. Later she was awarded as the Best Clas­si­cal Singer for the play “Kal­i­dasa’s Ab­hi­gyan Shakunt­lam,” pre­sented by Na­tional School of Drama. Also, she was fe­lic­i­tated as Best Clas­si­cal Vo­cal­ist by Pi­o­neer Hobby Cen­tre. Be­sides giv­ing ex­clu­sive per­for­mances in her own Sufi ju­gal­bandi group; namely ROOHANI SIS­TERS, she has ren­dered voice to in­nu­mer­able shows on Door­sar­sham and Ra­dio. Jagriti, who is a vo­cal­ist and pro­moter of SUFI MU­SIC, did Doc­tor­ate from Delhi univer­sity on ‘Us­tad Nus­rat Fateh Ali Khan’.
