Our view on the baby-related items

Mother & Baby - - CONTENTS -

I’VE always been very satisfied with the range of products that Chicco has to offer. Whether it’s their sterilisers, crib mobiles, or breast pumps, I’ve always been a fan. So when I heard about their new baby skin product range, Natural Sensation, I knew I had to try it out for my baby. The range is available in cleansers, moisturisers and protection so I purchased their massage oil along with their face cream, body lotion and liquid talc. Let’s start with the way it smells, because let me be honest, everyone loves the smell of a baby. All the skin products have the same smell – a very light and subtle floral fragrance. The oil comes in a spray bottle, which honestly, didn’t make much sense to me. Moreover, it doesn’t say whether it can be used on the baby’s hair as well as skin. When it comes to babies, one cannot be too careful, so specific instructions or directions for use, would be helpful. Fortunately, the products are extremely gentle so my baby didn’t get any rashes. The body lotion and the face cream is thick a thick formula and doesn’t spread as easily as I would have liked it to. I had to massage more than usual, which made me worry about whether I’d eventually end up hurting my baby’s sensitive skin. However, I do like that there is a separate cream for the face. They both really do keep the skin soft and moisturised. My only problem was with the liquid talc. I wasn’t exactly sure what the purpose of it was. Is it a moisturiser as well as talc? Can I do without using a moisturiser if I opt for the liquid talc? Is it a substitute to baby lotion? The questions were endless. Apart from the talc, I’d say I was pretty satisfied with the range. All in all the range is good, especially if your baby has sensitive skin. - Tamara Gomes, Goa
