Universal sets up new en­tity ‘Universal Axis’ for its Ma­te­rial Han­dling Range


Universal Group from Pune has in­tro­duced Man & Ma­te­rial han­dling prod­ucts un­der its new en­tity, Universal Axis Lift­ing So­lu­tions Pvt. Ltd. The ver­ti­cal ma­te­rial han­dling prod­ucts will be grouped in var­i­ous cat­e­gories based on ap­pli­ca­tion, ca­pac­ity, height, etc. The range will in­clude more than 15 mod­els of Rack & Pin­ion Pas­sen­ger Ma­te­rial Hoists, Mast Climb­ing Works Plat­forms, Wire Rope Sus­pended Plat­forms, Sea-Saw Lifts, Multi-Go Hoists, Tower Hoists, Builder Hoists, Mini Cranes, Tower Cranes, Mul­ti­Pur­pose Ma­te­rial Hoists, and more.

The com­pany has also set up a Robotics Man­u­fac­tur­ing fa­cil­ity at their Pune plant, which is the firstof-its-kind for such prod­ucts in In­dia. Ro­botic man­u­fac­tur­ing pro­cesses give the high­est ac­cu­racy with strong and full proof weld­ing con­nec­tion. Highly qual­i­fied and ex­pe­ri­enced staff in de­sign cus­tom­izes the prod­ucts as per site con­di­tions, us­ing the lat­est de­sign and anal­y­sis soft­ware.

Universal Axis has in­tro­duced the Speedo se­ries of Rack and Pin­ion Hoists that are CE-cer­ti­fied Safety De­vices with 5-level safety mech­a­nism for safe op­er­a­tion. The hoists are avail­able in 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1 tonne, 800 kg and 400 kg ca­pac­ity in sin­gle and twin masts, which go more than 300 me­ters in height above ground to 150 me­ters be­low ground in shafts.

The hoists have a vari­able speed from 8 me­ter/minute to high speed 90 me­ter/minute, and can be in­stalled on in­clined and pro­file struc­tures sur­faces such as cool­ing tow­ers, chim­neys etc. The safety de­vice of the el­e­va­tor is man­u­fac­tured in-house and is CE cer­ti­fied. The el­e­va­tor fol­lows both Euro­pean and In­dian safety norms.

Universal Axis has in­stalled the high­est quan­tity of el­e­va­tors in dif­fer­ent seg­ments like Build­ing Con­struc­tion, Steel & Ce­ment Plants, Ther­mal Power Plants, Mines, and Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Tow­ers, etc. El­e­va­tors are thor­oughly in­spected and ap­proved by var­i­ous statu­tory bod­ies, con­sul­tants and govern­ment in­sti­tu­tions for their tech­ni­cal suit­abil­ity and safety.
