IMT appoints GMMCO as exclusive distributor in India for its Piling Rigs
MT, the global leader for Piling Rigs from Italy, has appointed GMMCO Ltd, a C.K.Birla Group company, as exclusive distributor in India. GMMCO, which has a strong sales and service network in place, will market the entire range of IMT Piling Rigs across India and provide aftersales support to the buyers.
IMT International S.p.A, which was founded in 1974 by Mr. Giulio Accorroni, is now present in over 30 countries. Having invested substantially in Technology and Design, and acquired technical know-how for construction of hydraulic drill rigs, its products, today, are considered among the best in the market for their high strength, productivity, reliability, and safety.
In 1993, IMT began manufacturing its own machines, using Caterpillar excavator bases. This proved to be very successful as IMT could perfectly combine its attachment with the CAT base. In the last few years, a series of such machines have been manufactured, and are working in numerous jobsites across the world.
IMT is now launching its second generation of machines, mounted on bases, that have been designed and manufactured completely by IMT. This new A series of drill rigs are suitable for use in different configurations, using very simple procedures, and for tough applications. With its large diameters, high torque and high-performing winch, it can reach great depths, and its heavy-duty undercarriage guarantees optimal stability.
The complete range of IMT drill rigs from 125 KN to 460 KN is available in India, with models A-215 (Installed Torque 215 KN) and A-270 (Installed Torque 275 KN), considered more suitable for Indian job site conditions. A few units are operating successfully in Infrastructure projects. The drill rigs are well supported by IMT’s trained engineers and technicians at GMMCO.
