This ac­tiv­ity tracker from Timex has an SOS trig­ger

Timex, the man­u­fac­turer of watches and accessories, has re­cently ex­panded its prod­uct port­fo­lio by launch­ing its lat­est ac­tiv­ity tracker in In­dia – the Timex Blink.

The de­vice is a blend of a tra­di­tional watch and a fit­ness tracker, and uses Blue­tooth to con­nect with a smart­phone. Apart from just be­ing a funky watch, the de­vice is de­signed to track all dayto-day ac­tiv­i­ties such as calo­ries burnt, distance cov­ered, hours of sleep, etc. The tracker is ca­pa­ble of send­ing in­stant mails and SMSs with the GPS lo­ca­tion of the user in case of an emer­gency.

Com­pat­i­ble with both An­droid and iOS, the Blink ac­tiv­ity tracker comes with a 2.28cm (0.9 inch)

OLED touch­screen dis­play with a stain­less steel 304L case and six-axis mo­tion sen­sors, an SOS trig­ger and a Nordic nRF52832 CPU. Backed with a 90mAh bat­tery, the de­vice sup­pos­edly of­fers 10 days of bat­tery backup on a sin­gle charge.

The Timex Blink is avail­able in two vari­ants – with a leather strap and as a bracelet, at re­tail stores.
