War Child an NGO dur­ing its an­nual fundrais­ing went live with a cam­paign which re­minded peo­ple of their core pur­pose of giv­ing back the child­hood to kids who live and sur­vive in the war zones. Thus a life size Sher­man tank made out of bal­loons was cre­ated to­gether with artist Hans Hem­mert. Peo­ple were asked to tweet to turn the tank back into bal­loons hence giv­ing chil­dren their child­hood back in a sym­bolic way. The tank was in­stalled on the city square of Den Bosch, Hol­land. It mea­sured 9m long, 3 m large and con­tained over 7,000 bal­loons. The cam­paign at­tracted In­ter­na­tional TV, press & ra­dio cov­er­age, al­most 30,000 peo­ple vis­ited the tank, more than 3, 50,000 on­line views all this was har­bored with zilch in­vest­ment
