Flexi W2P: Flexi Web 2 Print

A SaaS offering that provides users with a store front for setting up their own online printing service

It also provides hosting support via its parent company Image Online and also helps with SEO and promotion of the new store front. The software includes a dynamic courier rate module that assists in calculating the shipping costs of the printouts. Built on top of the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack, the web-based WYSIWYG editor requires Flash, which means that iPads and iPhones are not supported as far as editing the design is concerned.

Users are immediately notified of cost changes as and when they make changes to their order. Flexi Print delivers a good user interface that requires minimal refreshing, thanks to AJAX. It is claimed that organizations can begin to receive payments for their orders very soon after deployment.

However, according to one of the jury members, OD Singh, the software, although innovative as a one-stop window for all printing needs for SMEs, is catering to a smaller audience as against the projects that have won, which clearly have an impact on a much larger audience.
