Established in 2005, Surat-based UNIX Stitch Machines Pvt. Ltd. is one of the most innovative and creative companies emerging in the computer embroidery industry. Within a short span of time, the company has positioned itself with a distinctive identity as a complete solution supplier in the embroidery industry.

During Gartex 2017, Unix showcased their best technology and got great response. “So far no other company has exhibited a product like the one that Unix has displayed, namely the high speed laser machine with motorised colour change, thread holding device and high speed channelling, which integrates a great combination of flat stitch, chain stitch, dori appliance and the laser device all in one. The customer is mesmerised as to how, with one machine, a person can make a cushion cover that others can’t,” said Sanjay Jha, Director, Unix, who has an engineering background and is regularly ringing in innovations in technology and also in the way the group functions. “Our vision is to give customers services in the shortest time possible and work on a long term solution for clients,” he said. “Exporters just love this machine and its quality of work,” professed Sanjay.

The company recently expanded its services and also shifted to new premises in Surat, while simultaneously opening their North India regional office at Okhla to remain closer to the customer.

He also shared the social agenda hidden behind Unix’s marketing strategy. According to Sanjay, India has great potential to become the leading textile industry around the globe. “Currently this industry has amateur technology, so for the future we are looking forward to tie up with our partners and make embroidery machines that can be used by housewives and designers so that they have the option of making apparel in-house and also without any fear of their designs getting copied,” said Sanjay.

As far as the traffic at the exhibition was concerned, Sanjay replied, “This is the first time we have participated, the exhibition has been organised in a very good way as the organisers have managed to attract quality footfall. The crowd here has not come for window shopping and we have met serious buyers and interested clients, all thanks to the organiser’s tireless promotional efforts.”
