When Garage Turns into a Ramp for Ralph Lauraen’s Latest Collection
Ralph Lauren turned its garage into a majestic ramp to showcase his latest collection with 300 guests at Bedford. The show took place to restore the brand’s image. Sales have already declined in nine consecutive quarters. The designer also suffered the acute embarrassment of closing down his giant Fifth Avenue Polo flagship store which was opened in 2014. The designer describes his new collection as a bold and powerful vision of femininity, combining sculptural silhouettes, inspired from cars, mingled with mens’ wear iconography and revamped for women.
