• H&M to invest 720 crore rupees, will increase garment sourcing from India
H&M recently opened its 31st Indian store in Ahmedabad and plans to improve its Indian garment sourcing operations and amp up its online capacity in the country. H&M has committed to investing 720 crore rupees (approximately 108.2 million US dollars) in the Indian market and is placing a strong focus on the country. The company has asked its Indian suppliers to find out ways on improving sourcing from India. H&M has sourced fabric and garments in India for almost 30 years and the main things sourced include home textiles, linen, lingerie, accessories, and woven textiles. Currently, H&M is looking into how to source more garments in India.
