FLoW of­fers a guided ap­proach to help re­tail­ers and whole­salers by pro­vid­ing in­for­ma­tion on the be­hav­ior pat­terns of the shop­per of to­day and on what makes them tick. The so­lu­tion also of­fers su­pe­rior data vis­i­bil­ity, needed for quicker and more pre­cise trad­ing trans­ac­tions and billing. Ac­cord­ing to Mike, “The tech­nol­ogy used to ar­chi­tect FLoW is a bolt-on mod­ule over Or­a­cle RMS (Re­tail Mer­chan­dis­ing Sys­tem) so it uses the same tech­nol­ogy as Or­a­cle RMS. It shares the same data­base, ap­pli­ca­tion server, user in­ter­face and se­cu­rity, of­fer­ing to the user an in­te­grated view of the sys­tem. How­ever FLoW by Wipro Re­tail re­mains in­de­pen­dent. It ac­cesses RMS in­for­ma­tion that is shaped as FLoW needs it.” Wipro is a tier 1 Or­a­cle Re­tail Part­ner and one of the most suc­cess­ful in­te­gra­tors of Or­a­cle Re­tail so­lu­tions. While de­ploy­ing the Wipro FLoW tech­nol­ogy, the re­tailer has to take into ac­count all the pa­ram­e­ters like the num­ber of stores, vol­ume of in­for­ma­tion and per­for­mance re­quire­ments etc which vary de­pend­ing on the dif­fer­ent in­fras­truc­tural needs of re­tail­ers.
