CLP In­dia inks 100.8 MW wind power project with Su­zlon

CLP In­dia, a wholly owned sub­sidiary of the CLP Group and Su­zlon En­ergy Limited (SEL) have signed a con­tract for over 100 MW of wind power project, which is ex­pected to be com­mis­sioned by Jan­uary 2013. The project com­prises 48 units of Su­zlon’s lat­est S97-2.1 MW wind tur­bine fea­tur­ing DFIG tech­nol­ogy and is ex­pected to gen­er­ate more than 0.2 mil­lion CERS ev­ery year, upon reg­is­tra­tion un­der the Clean De­vel­op­ment Mech­a­nism. “This or­der from CLP In­dia re­flects the trust in­stilled in Su­zlon and our lat­est S9X tur­bines by a glob­ally renowned util­ity IPP. We have proven endto-end ca­pa­bil­i­ties in In­dia, in­clud­ing low cost man­u­fac­tur­ing set-up, as well as a strong pipe­line of projects in all windy states and the proven ex­per­tise of set­ting-up and op­er­at­ing over 6,800 MW of wind en­ergy as­sets,” said Mr. Tulsi Tanti, Chair­man, Su­zlon Group.
