5N Plus acquires AM&M
Canadian specialty metal producer, 5N Plus Inc. has reportedly completed the acquisition of Ontario-based metallic powder producer, Advanced Machine and Materials Inc. (AM&M). The company produces, among other things, micron-size metallic powders used in several electronic markets and copper-indium-galliumdiselenide (CIGS) powders used for thin-film solar module production. The company did not reveal the value of the transaction and did not indicate AM&M’s production capacity. In early April, 5N Plus acquired the remaining 33 per cent stake in its Utah-based subsidiary Sylarus Technologies LCC, a Germanium wafer technology company specializing in epi-ready solutions for space power PV applications. The company was renamed 5N Plus Semiconductors LLC. The financial terms of that transaction were not disclosed either.
