“Ra­jasthan to re­gain its lead­er­ship po­si­tion in so­lar rooftop seg­ment”

At the So­lar Net Me­ter­ing event or­gan­ised by the Ra­jasthan So­lar As­so­ci­a­tion (RSA) in col­lab­o­ra­tion with So­lar Energy Cor­po­ra­tion of In­dia (SECI) and Rays Ex­perts Pvt Ltd, Rakesh Ku­mar, Di­rec­tor, SECI, high­lighted that Ra­jasthan is lag­ging be­hind other states in in­stalling rooftop so­lar sys­tems. Even though Ra­jasthan has over 300 days of sun­shine, high de­mand and clear roof space in most in­dus­tries; so far de­ploy­ment of rooftop so­lar is far less than many other states.

“RSA will work with other stake­hold­ers to re­gain its lead­er­ship po­si­tion in so­lar rooftop do­main,” said Su­man Ku­mar, Pres­i­dent, RSA. In a re­lated de­vel­op­ment CM Va­sund­hara Raje inau­gu­rat­ing a 100 MW so­lar plant at Nan­dia Kalan vil­lage near Jodh­pur set up by Azure Power said that the state will be­come a sur­plus-power state to the ex­tent of 6,000 MW.
