Danfoss India inks MoU with NPC to promote energy efficiency
towards improving the course modules and further on energy audit support on a case-to-case basis.
“A recent industry report suggests that basis the current consumption pattern the energy demand from industries in India is expected to grow to about 5397 TWh/yr by 2027. However, if industries can further strengthen their approach towards energy efficiency, we can expect the demand to reduce to 5143 TWh/ yr which is reduction of 254 TWh/yr -equivalent to approximately 42333 million dollars. Therefore, the opportunities that energy efficiency hold for securing the country’s energy demands are immense,” said Ravichandran Purushothaman, President, Danfoss India.
This collaboration comes at a time when more than 54 per cent of the country’s population is below the age of 25 allowing it with an opportunity to provide a skilled workforce to fill the expected shortfall in the ageing developed world.
